About Kiona
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor at ALIVE Counseling who provides virtual counseling services to teens and adults. I am licensed in Virginia and Maryland, is a National Certified Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and have completed Integrative Sex and Couples Certification Training. I am committed to helping clients navigate emotional challenges, relationships, and life transitions with clarity and confidence.
Before working at ALIVE
I bring extensive experience from a variety of clinical and community based roles, including Lead Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselor, Intensive In Home Counselor, Behavior Support Specialist, and Applied Behavior Counselor. These roles strengthened my ability to support emotional regulation, behavioral challenges, and relational concerns across developmental stages. My work is guided by a commitment to creating a safe, affirming, and supportive therapeutic environment.
